meet Andy

Andy Anuzis brings decades of leadership experience in education and public service.

For 13 years, Andy has worked in public education with Cornerstone Schools in downtown Detroit. Most notably, he served as President of the Cornerstone Schools network and for the past 4 years, he has served as Principal of Lincoln-King High School, leading students and staff with a focus on academic excellence, character development, and college and career readiness.

Previously, Andy served in state and federal government, including as Chief of Staff in the Michigan House of Representatives and the United States Congress, gaining extensive experience in organizational leadership, budgeting, and public accountability.

Andy earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Michigan–Dearborn and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University.

Andy Anuzis is running to bring experienced, student-focused, principle-based, common sense leadership to the Wayne State University Board of Governors.
